Anderson was back in the studio for his 8-month sitter session, and this happy little guy brought all the smiles, giggles, and personality!

It is hard to believe how quickly babies grow during their first year. One minute you're photographing a tiny newborn, and before you know it, they're sitting up, smiling, giggling, and showing off a whole new personality!

Anderson recently came back into the studio for his 8-month sitter session, and I couldn't have been happier to see him again. The last time I saw him, he was just 2 weeks old. Now look at him!

He has changed SO much!

Of course, one of my favorite parts of this session was seeing all those smiles and giggles. Anderson was having a great time in front of the camera, and his personality really started to shine through. Those happy little expressions made it so much fun to photograph him at this stage.

From Newborn to 8 Months

One of the things I love most about baby photography is getting to see how much a little one changes between sessions.

When I first photographed Anderson at just two weeks old, he was tiny, sleepy, and brand new to the world. At eight months, he is an entirely different little guy. He's sitting up, interacting, smiling, and giving us those adorable expressions that make this age so much fun to photograph.

It's amazing to see that transformation happen in such a short amount of time.

And honestly, your baby's first year goes by incredibly fast.

Why Baby Milestone Photography Matters

The first year is filled with so many important changes. Your baby grows and develops almost every day, and each stage has something special about it.

The sleepy newborn stage eventually becomes the sitting stage. Then come crawling, standing, first steps, and eventually that big first birthday.

That's why I believe it's so important to get your baby into the studio throughout their first year. These milestone sessions allow us to preserve your baby exactly as they are at each stage.

Those chubby cheeks, tiny hands, big smiles, curious expressions, and unique little personalities won't stay the same forever.

Photographs give you a way to hold onto those details long after your baby has grown.

The Sitter Stage Is So Much Fun

Eight months is such a fun age for baby photography. Babies are becoming more expressive and interactive, and they're often sitting independently, which opens up so many possibilities for their portraits.

Anderson was definitely ready to show off his personality!

His smiles and giggles gave us so many wonderful moments to capture, and I love that his gallery shows more than just what he looked like at eight months. It captures who he was at eight months.

That's what makes milestone photography so meaningful.

As parents, you expect to remember these moments forever. But once life gets busy, it's amazing how quickly the little details can become harder to recall.

What did those cheeks look like?

How big was that smile?

What expressions did they make when they were excited?

How did they look sitting up all on their own?

Anderson's 8-month session was such a fun reminder of why I love documenting this stage. Getting to photograph him again after meeting him as a newborn made it even more special.
